The year was 2020. The entire world was crippled with the pandemic and multiple lockdowns. Public modes of travel were almost zero or at the max -- marginal. In India the wave 1 graph had just started to flatten out and people from West Bengal had the hope that they can make it back home for the much-awaited Durga Puja. Air travel had resumed, but in a much-controlled manner. 

That is when some Bongs from Bangalore bonded together and decided to cover the close to 2000 Kms trip to Kolkata by road at the safety and comfort of their own cars. This group of active roadies made their initial social media presence over a popular messaging app where the motto was to help other Bengalis residing in Bangalore to get back home in a safe manner. A lot of us had this in our bucket list to make a road trip to our hometown and back but circumstances had not been on our side. 

However, with the lockdowns in place and most of the companies and schools in Work from Home/online mode, more and more residents of Bangalore reached out to us to make their dream come true, and this group not only helped provide the required information about the routes, hotels (pet friendly), itinerary, best practices and other value adds, but most importantly provided that courage and motivation to venture on this long journey.

Our members started to grow in leaps and bounds and that is when we thought of giving ourselves an identity and thus was formed
